Personal Statement

I am currently playing at Butler County Community College. I started all 58 games plus our preseason Fall schedule at short stop. Our record was 46-12, and we ended our season in the NJCAA tournament. I graduated from high school interested in Culinary but realized that I couldn't pursue that and play softball. I am now majoring in Business and am looking to continue my academic and softball career at a four year school upon graduation from Butler. I am a versatile player with a great arm and speed. I am a left handed power hitter with ability to go to all fields. I'm a quiet leader that prefers to lead by example. I work hard on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom while volunteering in school functions and working on campus. My work ethic comes from growing up our family farm. When I'm not playing ball I help my dad with haying, working cattle and maintaining fences. This season my personal goals are to continue to improve my on slugging and on base percentage to put my team in better situations to score runs. As a team, our goals are to win our conference, stay in the top 15 of the NJCAA ranks and return to Nationals.

I have attached my 2024 season schedule to my profile. Butler puts us up against a diverse level of competition to get us prepared for our regular season. I don't know where this road will take me but I'm loving every minute of it.

Lost to my old coach Chris Stewart 7-8 in to the wire come back when the tying run was called out for leaving the bag too early. I was 1-4 with a single and 2-5 in the field. Placed third in our pool, meeting Strike Zone Select 16A in the first game of the bracket. I was 0-3 at the plate but our defense held them to a single run with a 6-1 win. We jumped onto ICT Racers (another old coach and many old teammates) scoring five runs in the first inning. Defense held them again. I was 3-3 in the field and their single run was a homer. The championship put us against Texas Glory. We scored early in the first inning again. I was 2-3 with two singles. I was the run that put us up one run in the first. I was 2-2 in the field, both being final outs of the inning. My catcher and I matched up to stop a steal attempt in the third. We came home with the championship defeating them 3-2. Great Fall start!
