Caroline Stetson ...I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember, and I've loved every minute of it. This game has taught me so many valuable lessons such as teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. I've made so many friends and had countless great experiences because of softball. I always work hard to improve my game in some way. I take lessons for both hitting and pitching, I attend camps, practice on my own, and I make team practices a priority. I am always looking for opportunities to become a better player for my team. On the field, I am always improving my attitude and cheering on my teammates. After a bad play or a bad at-bat, I always pick myself up and move forward because I can't let my teammates down and I know that a positive attitude is a key to performing at my best. When I'm playing I always try to cheer on my team and talk on the field. I know how important it is to pick your teammates back up and support them in a game. I also know it's important to call out the plays and help the team perform at its best. Off the field, I work hard on my grades. Since I started receiving letter grades in the fourth grade, I have always had a goal to achieve A's in all of my classes. While I haven't always met that goal I've never had anything lower than a high B and my 4.0 GPA reflects my hard work. I always challenge myself in the classroom by taking honors and AP classes when I can and taking opportunities to improve my grade. I am also a member of the beta club that not only requires me to keep my grades up but that I do service for my community. I believe I would be a strong asset to your team because I work hard on and off the field and I am a team player.
These past few years I have been working hard to reach my goal of playing in college. I want to play somewhere that meets my academic needs while playing in the most athletically competitive program I can. I have a big interest in architecture, but because I'm still young I'm open to other careers. I want to play somewhere that is not only competitive but challenges me to be a better person and a better player. I feel that I could have an impact on your program because of my sportsmanship, academics, and my drive to become a better player and person. Thank you so much for looking at my profile!
