“Every team has talent, but hustle and heart set us apart”
My name is Cecelia Wittry and I believe in this team quote because I know that it take more than talent to be a successful softball ballplayer. I am passionate about softball and know that only through hard work and dedication, can you truly be a successful softball player. I am driven to be my very best both mentally and physically on and off the field. My love for softball inspires me to have discipline and commitment on the field and in the classroom.
I have played softball since the second grade and have learned the importance of team work. I just finished my sophomore year at Scott County High School in Georgetown, Kentucky. This year I was awarded 42nd District All-Tournament Team. Academically, I achieved a 4.0 grade point average and was on the A-Honor Roll. I am currently playing for my travel team, Central Kentucky Edge. My primary positions on the field include pitching and second base, but I feel confident that I can play anywhere on the field that I am needed.
My goals in the future are to continue playing softball at the college level and pursue a degree in Engineering. I will graduate in 2017.
