Rylie Grantz '21 Recruiting Profile

As a three sport athlete (softball, basketball, and volleyball), I have learned that softball is my passion!

However, the last year has been tough as doctors have had trouble diagnosing my right shoulder injury. We thought it was a 1st rib stress fracture, then thoracic outlet syndrome, but finally two surgeries (cubital tunnel release April, 2019) and Labral repair (August 6, 2019) along with Physical Therapy should have me ready for the 2020 season!

Before the injury, I led my varsity softball team in batting average (8th grader and Freshman), and I broke into the top 10 all time for Lafayette HS in eight different offensive categories. I led my 2017 travel softball team in almost every offensive category competing at a high level (finishing 3rd Place overall in the USA Northern Nationals), and recently joined a nationally ranked travel team (Southern Force in 2018). Going into the 2020 season, I hope to lead our high school team to the state tournament and I want our travel team to compete nationally in some of the toughest tournaments in the country. 

With a 3.9 GPA (4.4 weighted GPA), I know academics are my priority, but LOVE to compete in athletics! As a Junior, I want to find Colleges who are interested in me as a softball player because of my accomplishments both on and off the field.
