Personal Statement
I've been playing softball for the majority of my life, eleven years to be exact. I've come to learn the game, but there's always room for improvement and better knowledge. I want to play college softball not just because I love the game, but to continue to grow as player.
What makes me different? I can say how I'll work harder than anyone else, but I feel like that's a common one. As a player I know I have to be coachable. I take constructive criticism very well. I know how to take it and apply it to what it need to be applied to. My drive and determination to be better and get there fuel me. Once I start something, I stick with it. I don't give up. If I make errors, I self assess what I've done wrong and fix it.
My drive and determination doesn't just stop with sports. I carry those traits over to academics. I always drive and try my absolute best to achieve all my academic dreams. I've made it my goal to take as many honors and AP classes I can to better myself down the road when student loans come along. I'm planning my life ahead so I'm prepared. I want to earn as many scholarships as I can. That's why I'm so dedicated to having good grades and pushing myself to get those grades.
