Isabelle Tello '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball since I was 10 yrs old. I have experienced every position but fell in love with pitcher, 1st and 2nd. I automatically knew I wanted to be pitcher and 1st basemen after my friend introduced me to it. I didn't start off wanting to do 2nd base. Actually, I didn't go near it until I joined my travel ball team Maryland Dynasty. After playing a few games it felt like the perfect fit. I would be a good addition to the team because like back then I didn't question the coaches decision, I gave it a shot and asked questions when I didn't understand. I am someone who can adjust to situations and stay positive when things start to go down hill. Sophomore year I was put on JV as the only pitcher with a lot of girls who have never played before or were new to the sport. I made captain knowing that I was needed to lead those girls. This forced me to grow as a person, stepping up and leading on the field and off the field. I want to find a team where I can grow as a player again on and off the field. Finding a team where I can feel welcomed by everyone and know that if I'm having a hard time there will always be people to help me out.
