My name is Caitlin Murphy, I have been playing softball for 8 years and pitching for 6. I fell in love with the sport of softball at a very young age and I love everything about it. I am currently a sophomore at Boston Latin School and pitch for my schools team, as well as many others. I play softball mainly year round, for multiple teams, and in between seasons I practice with my travel softball team, as well as participate in clinics, and work with a pitching coach.
I have learned a lot from playing softball over the years, things that I can apply to life on and off the field. I have learned to work well with others, as well as persistence and self motivation, both of which I apply in the classroom and on the field. I love the relationships that I have made from softball, I have made so many friends over the years and I have always enjoyed being apart of a team with other people who love the sport just as much as I do.
Most coaches I have worked with love my self motivated attitude, as well as my team spirit, I love cheering my team mates on, whether it be on the field or off. I fell in love with the atmosphere, and faced paced, exciting games that the sport provides, and I would love to continue playing in college.
