Jocelyne Hendrix '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play competitive softball and play and live to my full potential on and off the field.  While I may not be the first player that comes to mind when you think of our team, I am the player that every coach wants on their team because of my heart, my determination, and my work ethic.  I will be the first one to start the cheers and put on the rally caps **insert picture of me with glove on my head and Gatorade cups over my ears**.  I will be the first one on the field and will not leave until I get it right, and you can count on me to stay with teammates and give them the support that they may need whether its shagging, throwing, or just hanging out. I am the player no matter how the game went will always ask, "What do you need, Coach?" And I will get it done. I am a true utility player having played every single position on the field. I started pitching in February of 2017 and have found my true home on the mound. While I have been only pitching for a short time I am proud to say that I can hold my own against players who have been pitching for over a decade. It has not been easy but I am not afraid of hard work and it  shows, my FB is in the mid to high 50s hitting 60. I have a wicked curve, and can vary off-speed and change from 36-48. I also have a rise ball and screw ball.  I can promise you will not see a harder worker on or off the field and will only continue to get get faster and stronger and I know I can be a positive role model as a student athlete to both my team and the next generation of softball players.

You can also count on me to raise the team gpa. I have phenomenal grades and am already accustomed to college classes as I have been dual enrolled as a junior and will be this year as a senior.

 I plan to study medicine and continue to give back to my sport and my schools.
