Shannen Luksha '24 Recruiting Profile

All my life playing softball at the college level has been my dream, and over the past few years I've worked hard to try to make that a reality. Some of my best qualities are my determination, drive, and leadership, and I bring these qualities to academics as well as sports. I have quick reactions and strong mechanics, and I learn from each failure and move on to the next challenge. A positive culture and good sportsmanship is very important to me, so as a captain I lead my team both on and off the field, encouraging each of my teammates to be a better player and person every day. This past spring I was fortunate to help lead my team to the state championship. Our team created a supportive atmosphere with every player making sure the others had opportunities to excel however they wanted. Being a positive motivator for my teammates and myself is my goal for each game I play, and my goal at the college level is to bring that same energy to any team I join.
