Micah Lasure '21 Recruiting Profile

Being awarded 1st Team All-Conference and Coaches Award for varsity softball during my freshman year has been the highlight of my high school career, thus far.  Although, I do feel I grew the most as an athlete when I attributed to my 16u travel team’s success in overcoming a deficit, to winning 1st place in the first tournament of our 2018 season. That experience helped me refocus my reality of playing at the collegiate level.

I have been fortunate enough to go from playing in multiple state tournaments with two different All-Star recreational teams, to becoming Conference Champions with my high school varsity team, as well as, multiple 1st and 2nd place finishes with two different travel teams.

All this said, I have also learned the value of commitment, teamwork, and good sportsmanship in being on the other side of the fence. I am looking for a school that offers a great culinary program, along with a competitive level of softball. I truly believe I have the drive, character, and academic ability to compete for a college team; and as a varsity captain, I know I have what it takes to lead!
