My name is Alyssa Barbrick and I will be a junior next fall at South Christian High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Softball has always been my passion, the thing I love to do most when I have free time. I am currently playing my fourth year of travel softball and completed my second year of varsity softball where I started every game. I love to work to improve my whole game, I take hitting and pitching lessons every week and attend softball camps, fielding clinics, speed and agility, and strength and conditioning whenever I can. My first goal as a high school player was to make varsity as a freshman which I’m proud to say I accomplished. I would also like my team to win a conference championship and make an all conference team. My favorite things about softball is to compete against other good softball players and being a part of a team. The friends I’ve made from playing softball are some of the best friends I have, even ones from my travel team that go to other schools. I want to challenge myself both athletically and academically during my high school years to hopefully prepare myself for a college softball career and preparing for life after softball. I want to be the best player and teammate I can be and I think I will be a good addition to any softball team or program. As I enter my junior year, I know that I want to play college softball and I will continue to work hard to achieve that goal.
