Hello! My name is Peyton Bunch and I attend Howell High School in Howell, Michigan. I am a freshman this year (2028 grad year). I play softball because it lets me be myself. It’s a place I can go and be free. I always make sure to be a positive teammate, on and off of the field. I am very coachable and love hearing feedback from coaches and teammates about what I can work on, and implementing that as soon as I can. I am a very hardworking and determined person, I always give 110% effort in everything I do. I have a high softball IQ and enjoy being a leader on the field. Although everyone loves winning, softball isn’t always about winning, it’s about progressing towards goals. I love to see the progress my team can make in just one game.
While catching, my softball IQ really comes into play. I love calling pitches and thinking ahead to the next play. I love to lead the field.
I really enjoy school and am in many honors classes, while maintaining a 4.0 gpa. My favorite subjects are english and chemistry. I hope to major in psychology in college. Throughout my school career I have received many honors and high honors awards for my academic achievements. Outside of softball, I participate in my schools theatre program. I love meeting new people and preforming on stage. It really helped improve my confidence on the field, and make me better accustomed to making mistakes and learning from them.
