Personal Statement

I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old, and travel softball since I was 8. The most important characteristic that I have gained is the mental toughness of being a pitcher. I remember when my Little-League All-Stars team won the State Championship, it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. From this experience, I believe I have gained a deeper knowledge of the game and a greater love too.

In college, I hope to play for a team with the same work ethic and drive as I do. I would also like to attend a school to become an elementary school teacher. As a three-sport athlete, I have the grit and determination to do anything I set my mind to do, but I also want my teammates to have some of these same qualities. My teammates should strive to be better in the same way I do, and also push me to be a better athlete and a better person. I love to play softball and hope to continue my journey as a college student-athlete!
