Personal Statement
College ball has always been my ultimate goal for many reasons. I value the speed and excitement of the game and I want to continue that at the next level. I want to continue to fine tune my skills and to play at the competitive level college ball provides.
As an athlete, whether I am pitching, fielding or batting, I pride myself in being a leader on the team and having the ability to execute the plays whenever the opportunity arises. I have the fire in my veins to be the best I possibly can be on and off the field. I have what it takes to benefit any college program because of both my attitude and athletic ability. Mental toughness is a big part of the game and I work hard to keep my mind and attitude positive whether the game is good or bad. Additionally, being at the athletic stage I am at has taken hard work, dedication and the drive to succeed for myself, my team and my future college coach. I have and will continue to put an unending amount of time into my softball career because my love for the sport and will to win.
What I look for in a college coach is someone who will engage in the game and give the constructive criticism needed to help me become a better athlete. I need a coach who will work me, drive me and train me so I am the best player on the field. I look for someone who will celebrate the wins but still recognize the errors and push their players to work to overcome them and go win the next game. In a college program, I look for something that supports their athlete’s academic focuses as well as a program that creates strong team connections and will have the resources to make the season the greatest it can be.
