Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Ella Newman. I'm a Junior at Chippewa Hills High School. I am a highly competitive athlete and love playing sports of any kind. My biggest goal in life is to contribute on a college softball team. I'm a great candidate for your team because I love being in a competition atmosphere and I'm always looking to be the best athlete (and person) I can be. I am extremely determined to succeed in everything I do. Coaches often say I am a hardworking, strong, and spirited player. I'm different from other recruits because I'm left-handed, extremely competitive, I strive for perfection. I hope that you see me as an asset to your team in the future.
I also play volleyball to help me stay in shape and improve in other areas of my fitness level. Playing this sport helps with my verticle, pushing leg (for pitching), and overall athletic ability. Last spring, I hit a .417 and led my team in batting average. This season, I am looking to lead my team yet again in hitting and also work on the spin velocity of my pitches.
