Charliene Bryant '15 Recruiting Profile

As a little kid I started playing softball, following in my older sisters footsteps. We would play catch and hit off the tee in the yard. When my older sister moved up to 10-u softball I decided, as a 7 year old, that I wanted to go with her. I spent that winter in our barn playing catch with my dad and hitting off a pitching machine, I knew what my answer would be when someone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. A college softball player like the girls on T.V.

I currently play for the 18U Sabercats out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. For my travel team I am a Catcher, Pitcher, First Baseman and a Third Baseman, I also am the third fourth or fifth hitter on all of my teams, I am a power hitter and I love hitting. For my High School Team I was the starting Varsity catcher my freshman year, I also pitched in a few games. 

I took the ACT and earned a composite score of a 23. My current GPA is a 3.667, and I am in a majority of Advanced Placement classes, and some college courses. I love school and I am working hard to get an Academic scholarship along with an athletic scholarship. 

Having the amazing coaches that I have had I also decided I wanted to stay in the sport of softball and get a degree in Sports Administration and become a softball coach. Softball has played a major role in me finding myself and I hope that it is always there to keep me grounded.
