Personal Statement
Softball has made such a huge impact on my life. I started when I was 6 years old on a town tee ball team. From there, I quickly moved up to fast pitch softball, and this has been my main focus ever since. Despite my dedication to softball, I have always found the time to stay well rounded by playing competitive golf, basketball, and skiing in the winter. I love competition and the feeling of achievement. I am not afraid of hard work and new challenges.
I spent most of my career as a catcher, and I have always accepted a leadership role and have been relied on in many different situations. Recently, I have taken on the role as center fielder and have really enjoyed being the captain of the outfield. My coaches would describe me as the backbone of the team and a fierce competitor. I always give it my all in games and want to be critiqued. I am always looking to improve and I am open to coaching. My teammates would describe me as upbeat and positive, even in tough situations. I will support my team no matter what.
When looking at colleges, I want one that not only challenges my athletic ability, but also my academic development. I want a coach that I can rely on and will take the time to help me further develop my skills. I am open to new opportunities and not limited to any region of the country. Thank you for taking the time to consider me for your program.
