My name is Haley Grimmius, a 11th grader at Worthington High School in Worthington, MN. I love the sport of fast-pitch softball. Softball has become my passion! Playing softball against the best Premier Softball Teams across the nation has been a great experience for me as a player and as a person. I am truly dedicated to this sport physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.
Playing for the South Dakota Renegades, I know that I'm capable of playing softball in college. I am living a college life right now as a 11th grader. Some examples of why I believe that:
1. Drive me about 140 miles a day to get me to and from practice.
2. Length of summer practices: 8 AM – 3 PM.
3. Fall and Winter practices and time management, I am getting homework done on the road in a vehicle.
4. Miles that we drive to go to Premier Girls Fast-Pitch Tournaments. Most of those trips are over 8 hours away.
5. Playing at the PGF Premier level of softball for my age.
6. Conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team and my coach.
My long-term athletic goal is to continue playing softball at the college level. With the guidance of my parents and coaches as well as my internal drive to succeed, this goal is realistic and achievable. As I grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially throughout my softball career; I will strive to be a premier pitcher, 1st baseman and hitter to the best of my abilities.
