2023 Highlights

Personal Statement

My name is Leyla Rigby. I am a class of 2027 pitcher and infielder. I have been playing softball since I was six years old and in travel ball since age nine. I currently take hitting lessons at Jones College and pitching lessons from a former JUCO and D1 collegiate pitcher. I played junior high softball at South Jones High School in 7th grade before transferred to Laurel Christian School. The move to LCS provided an opportunity to help start a new softball program while also offering a more challenging academic curriculum allowing me to begin taking advanced classes in 8th grade. Fall 2024 marked our 3rd season as a program; a season we finished as undefeated district champs and a 4th place finish in the state. I consider myself a leader, a hard worker, a fast learner, and a team player who strives to be coachable and wants to lead by example, both on and off the playing field.
