Leyla Rigby - Sum...Personal Statement
My name is Leyla Rigby and I have been playing softball since I was six years old and in travel ball since age nine. I currently take hitting and pitching lessons at Jones College. I played junior high softball and volleyball at South Jones High School in 7th grade before transferred to Laurel Christian School. The move to LCS provided an opportunity help start a new softball program while also offering a more challenging academic curriculum that has allowed me to begin taking advanced classes in 8th grade. I believe this academic path will better prepare me for college. I consider myself a hard worker, a fast learner, and a team player who strives to be coachable and wants to lead by example, both on and off the playing field.
