Personal Statement
Hi! I’m Hallie and I’m from Cedar Hill, MO - a small town outside of St. Louis. Softball has been an important part of my life for roughly 10 years. It was a great way to be active, have fun and make friends. I fell in love with pitching after my little league coach insisted each girl give it a try. I was a bit shy, but once I got on the mound, I feel like I found my true passion. I crave the battle on the mound – I consistently will pitch a full game and then will be brought in to tough game situations to change the direction of the game. I’m a tenacious, mentally tough and analytical player – always considering the situation and best options to maximize our opportunity. I’m a consistent hitter – usually in the top-middle of the lineup – hitting both homeruns as well as being a successful bunter. I’m quick and aggressive with my base running and play a mean middle infield when I’m not pitching. I thrive on continuously learning from coaches, instructors and other players – I’m always open to new ways to improve my game. Beyond softball, I have a tight knit family (mom, dad and 2 sisters), that is very supportive of me. I enjoy learning and I take my academics very seriously, carrying a 4.0 gpa. I have a passion for animals and would love the opportunity to volunteer my time to rescuing and/or fostering dogs. I would be a great asset to any team looking for a solid, consistent pitcher, hitter and motivating team mate.
