For me, softball is a way to express myself through hard work and leadership. As a teammate, I take pride in setting a good example through my actions and being a positive role model. My motivation to work hard comes from striving to lift up my team and do my job, but also from my love of the game. Many athletes are solely focused on the game itself, although I believe it is equally as important to train your mind to be as strong as your body. Softball is a mentally challenging game, which is why I have spent so much time learning how to be a good teammate, and how to handle those mentally tough situations.
