Hi, my name is Cassidy Venner and I am heading into my senior year of high school. As I think about going to college I am both excited and nervous, especially when I think about playing a collegiate sport. I have been playing softball and basketball since I’ve been six years old. I think what sets me apart from other athletes is that athletics are not just sports to me, but have become a part of my life. Because of this, I have not only become an athlete, but a student of athletics. I pride myself in researching and learning as much as I can about the psychology and fundamental pillars of all sports not only the sports that I play.I like to set goals not only in athletics, but in my personal life as well. Thus far, I have been very fortunate to of had great seasons in my freshman, sophomore, and junior years of high school. Some of my greatest achievements include being selected first team all state in softball two years in a row, being selected as one of ten Super State Montana softball players, playing in the Montana All State VFW Memorial Softball Tournament and competing in the AA State Championship game. I am also proud of making the Divisional All Tournament Team in basketball, and Academic All State in Golf, Basketball, and Softball three years in a row. I am a three sport athlete and part of the National Honor Society, Student Council, RYLA, and one of five students chosen for the district wide Student Athlete Leadership Program.
