Personal Statement
Playing softball since third grade has shaped who I am as a person. It has taught me discipline, responsibility, the ability to be relied on, and a love for the game. I am coach-able and always willing to try new strategies, as I want to better myself. One of the biggest things I have had to overcome as a player was injuries. Working through them and resting when necessary wasn't easy, but after, I was able to jump right back to where I left off. Obstacles have taught me the importance of perseverance.
In my ASA league, we have been able to earn two Montana state championships. In 2016, we also took fourth at a nationals tournaments. I have played on this team for eight years, and am extremely loyal to the team. For my high school team, we took the state title my sophomore years.
For college, my main focus is academics, and I am looking for a school that will allow me to be my best both in the classroom and on the field.
I believe my positive outlook on the game and my desire for improvement would make me a valuable team player on a college team.
