Brooke Schaffer '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'7" 3rd baseman and catcher from Missoula, MT. I have a 3.7/4 GPA, I have been on honor roll 7 out of 7 semesters, received academic all-state for grades, and first team all state for 3rd base. I am a member of the National Honor Society, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. I have been a starter on my school's varsity softball team since freshman year. I was voted Defensive MVP by my team freshman year and Offensive MVP my junior year and received a Coaches Award. I have been playing softball for about 9 years. I currently play on Big Sky High School's varsity team where I have played as 3rd base, catcher, 1st, and shortstop. I will play anywhere my coach asks of me. I also play on both the Hamilton Hotshots & Missoula Riot travel softball teams, and during the summer I play on the Little League all-stars team. I went to the Western Regional World Series twice for all stars and World Series once for travel ball. On my previous travel team, Montana Wildfire, I was the captain for 3 years. It has always been a dream of mine to play softball in college and later on maybe coach a team myself. I pride myself on respecting others, offering a helping hand whenever needed and hustling on and off the field. I am open to any type of school. I think I would like to major in criminology or sports psychology, but I'm not sure yet. I have always chased a higher level of competition and competitiveness, so I would love to get the opportunity to play as a freshman. At the end of the day, I love softball, and if I get the opportunity to play in college, I will jump at it.
