Kristyn Ramos '23 Recruiting Profile

Softball came to me later rather than sooner. I only started playing my freshman year of highschool, however I made it on varsity and was able to acheive a starting position. It wasn't until covid hit and everything was taken away from me did I realize how much raw love I have for the sport. Becuase of my lack of years playing people have told me that my weakness is the "lack of softball IQ". When I hear that, I think about how this "disadvantage" can simply be fixed with time. And with that midset I have proven others and even myself that I am capable of much more. 

I am a stong beliver in discipline, this one value made me the player I am today. In my personal life, to the boring sessions, and the constant failure of the game. Discipline is the reason why I am able to be the loud leader on the feild, run fast, feild consistent, have good up to bats, be a good teammate, and get done what needs to be done. 

I understand I have a lot more to learn, especially when it comes to softball. However, because of my core foundation of discipline I have no doubt that I will be able to acomplish my goals to play at the collegiate level but also achomplish your goals as a coach.
