Sophia Gargano '21 Recruiting Profile

I am very committed to softball  and work hard at it while having fun and supporting my teammates. I strive to  maintain and improve myself both on and off the field.  Over the years I  have played the following positions on my school and travel teams: Center Field, Right Field, Left Field, Third Base, First Base and Catcher. I work hard at my position including backing up my teammates.

 In offering me a position on the team my NH Lightning coach wrote:

"we are very interested in having Sophia play with us next season. She showed great self confidence in all areas of her game and we appreciate her hustle/work ethic/energy during tryouts." 

I have been able to maintain a schedule that includes school, softball and other extra curricular activities without compromise to my forward momentum in all. In fact, I think these activities compliment each other.

The Covid period and the post Covid period  were challenging with much adversity at times. I respectfully moved through the challenges and I am looking forward to the brighter days ahead. 

  My goals for college include continuing in a theater/music program, culture studies and exploring a future in coaching as I enjoyed helping my school teammates improve and enjoy the game more.  

 I take pride in what I do, who I am, my team, teammates and will always give 100% effort. I think I would be a positive addition to your team.
