Determined, focused, committed, and disciplined are words that come to mind for teachers, coaches and teammates when they hear the name Ella Harris. Those characteristics, along with drive, a positive attitude and work ethic, form Ella’s foundation. On and off the field Ella doesn’t rattle easily. Her positive determination is consistent to the last play of the game.
Ella explained, “My goals include leading my high school team to win a state championship, to graduate from high school with a high GPA, and play college softball for a high level team.”
Another very important quality of Ella’s is the ability to adapt well to different coaching styles and being a very coachable person. This is partially as a result of her experience playing on multiple travel teams adapting to the needs of teams and coaches. She is also a good teammate, a leader and a trusted peer.
Ella also reported, “I don’t crash under pressure. Coaches call me a clutch player because I have experience carrying a team. Many times I’ve pitched three games in a day in the sun or in the cold weather without giving up. I am capable of working well under difficult circumstances.”
