Daniela Gurski '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball since I was five years old. Ever since, it is all I have ever wanted to do. It has been my goal since my first tee-ball practice to play at the college level. I have worked hard my whole life to get to the point where I am now. I will never stop working to be the best I can be. I will continue to work towards my goal, and I refuse to let anyone take me down. I take an initiative to get things done, whether it be in my academics or for my high school's softball program. I am a terrific team leader, encouraging and motivating my team to work hard and play hard. Being a student athlete is difficult, but I spend my time wisely. I practice hard, but I leave time for studying and homework. Even before I entered high school, I knew then of the difficulites of being a student athlete, and I knew the I was going to have to take responsibility for myself. I knew I could not rely on anyone else. Doing this, I know that I am on the path to ultimately achieving my dream.
