I have been playing competitive softball since I was 7.  I fell in love with the game, but I also fell in love with playing a sport that always pushed me to be better.  I didn't start out being the player I am today, it took hours of practice each week with the team and on my own to get better.  I set goals for myself along the way and I always wanted to be the player my teammates could count on when needed to help us win. 

Right before 8th grade, I changed teams from a 14U team to an 18U team as a way to keep challenging myself.  It was a hard decision, because I loved playing with my friends, but I wanted to be in a position where the coach didn't know me and I had to work hard to earn my spot.   My commitment to my team is to work hard and be ready when I'm called to help the team. 

I focus on my academics as much as as softball because I know that being the best student will achieve my softball goals.  

What makes me different is my work ethic and my attitude.  I will work hard to be the player that my team needs me to be because I have since I was 7.  I am not afraid of being challenged and I know that if I play in college I will need to sit on the bench and cheer for my teammates until my time comes, but I will work as hard as I can so I am ready when I get the opportunity.
