Gianna Gonzalez '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Gianna Gonzalez and I’m a 2024 softball player. I’ve been playing softball since I was 8 years old. I was on a dance team, an aerial arts performer, on a gymnastic team, and played the clarinet along with softball but having to commit to one team I chose softball. It instantly stole my heart and became my passion. I am a Utility player mainly middle in-field, I am a catcher as well. I play every position except pitcher. I was part of the team that won the 12U 2019 Babe Ruth World series out in Treasure Coast, FL.  Besides our team becoming World Series champs I’ve personally  received three Ron Tellefsen “Player of the Game Awards” that year. (We made it to the World Series

in 10u but fell short I also received two “player of the game awards that year as well). I’ve  played recreational ball, all-Stars, and Travel ball with an aggressive schedule. I also made starting Varsity as a freshman for my HS Softball team (starting shortstop) and every year after. Softball has taught me dedication, hard-work, sportsmanship, and being a leader as well as part of a team. It’s always been my dream to play college softball and I look forward to the journey ahead.
