Natalie Gross '27 Recruiting Profile

Softball will forever have an important place in my heart filled with memories, life lessons, and hard work that I will forever be grateful for. I believe that my bond with my current teammates and the bonds I have made on previous teams make or break the game for a player, and I can gladly say my softball career is still going strong. If I had to choose one statement that I live by every day, I would say "There is always someone who is one day ahead of you". Whenever you think of skipping a workout, not fully preparing for a game, or neglecting nutrition for the day, the simple reminder that there is always someone one day ahead of you is enough to realize that you have to push yourself to put the necessary work in to reach your goals and stay one day ahead of the person right behind you. 

I make it a part of my everyday life to never skip a session. I weight train, bring 100% to every practice and private session, and make sure to strictly focus on fulfilling my body with nutritious food, all adding to my overall physical and mental health. I work on my skill set year-round, participating in a full-year club team, year-round weight training, high school softball, and hitting and skill sessions throughout the year. I am a very coachable person who values learning new perspectives of the game and tips that will heighten my overall skills. 

In the classroom, I work tremendously hard to keep a high honor roll GPA every marking period. I received a Suma Award this past year, a I was previously awarded the Student of the Year award for community service. I am a member of the Interact Club and the Leo Club, which both mainly focus on community service and putting a smile on people's faces. 

I am excited to bring my skills into a competitive collegiate softball program, as well as study hard in school and find a profession that I am interested in spending the rest of my life in. I am currently most interested in playing at the Division 3 colligate level, but most of all, I am looking for a school that is the right college match for me and my overall interests. Sometime in the future, I hope to be an important asset to a collegiate team that I admire and live out my childhood dream before adult life takes over.
