Alexandra Sweetman '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Alex Sweetman and I’m a pitcher/utility apart of the 2026 graduating class at Sussex County Technical School. 

With my 12 years of playing, I have gained confidence, leadership skills, and the ability to work with my teammates and coaches in the most efficient ways. I have always been very competitive and passionate about the game of softball to the point where I read the rule book at home in my spare time. 

In college I'm looking for a school that can be academically fit for me while I pursue my love and passion for the game of softball. 

When I step into the batter's box I am very aggressive and will do anything I can to get on base and get myself into scoring position. I am a switch hitter and can demonstrate the same amount of power from both sides of the plate as well as slap from the left side. When I get on base i'm known for my speed and agility on the base path on any team i've ever played on.

I consider myself to be a very coachable player and will do whatever is needed with no excuses. Achievement and success are something that I strive for on a daily basis and being able to do it while I’m playing softball makes it so much more rewarding in the end.
