Jessa Pieters '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name Jessa Pieters. I am the graduating class of 2025 at Kingsway Regional High school. I am a right handed pitcher and first baseman on the New Jersey Gators 14u National team.  I started my softball career on a recreational team at the age of 7 and then at age 10, I started pitching lessons.  Throughout the years of playing softball, I have tried out a variety of position but I decided that pitching and first base are where I excel the most. I am thrilled for the upcoming high school and travel ball season this spring and summer. Softball has taught me how to be a strong team leader and an all around good teammate. Softball is a game where we are all going to make mistakes, but I always make the best of it and build off my errors to do better the next time. Focus and good body language helps me become a stronger player mentally and physically especially in the pitching circle. As a pitcher,  I strive to have confidence in the circle so my positive demeanor can convey to my teammates in the field a strength and knowledge of the game.  I've learned through the years of playing softball to always push to improve myself and to constantly keep setting attainable goals.  With hard work and a very supportive and dedicated pitching instructor, I have been able to become a very consistent pitcher.  She has taught me the basics of pitching and has provided me with life lessons for being a good pitcher.  My secondary position is first base.  With this position I have learned how important it is to regularly communicate with both my infield and outfield between plays. I still find time to joke around and have a good time without losing focus. I have a love for this sport and I am and will put in my full effort to become a strong team player on and  off the softball field.
