My name is Alayna Bush and I am a 5'2" 125 lb, utility player out of upstate NY. During my 7th-grade-season, I was the starting shortstop for my high schools Junior Varsity team. Being moved up as a middle-school-student really exposed me to more maturity and a higher level of play than what I was used too. I am still incredibly grateful for that season because it made me realize that softball was my passion. That summer I played my second season of travel ball and fell even more in love with the game. During my 8th grade year, I was moved up to the varsity team. I was the starting catcher and sometimes even started at shortstop. That season I broke the record for stolen bases by an 8th grader with 13 SB and also the record for RBI's with 33. My team and I won Co-Champions of our league and I was voted in as an honorable mention All Star. I pride myself with being a hard worker and having high goals for college and beyond. My goal is to compete with the best of the best on and off the field in college. I work hard in the classroom and plan to follow a degree in the medical field. I am a very optimistic and opened minded person but when I step on the field, I know it's time to go to work. I train year round with my travel and high school team, getting in as many practices that I can to better my knowledge of the game. As a player, I will do what is asked of me and work hard to reach the goal. As a person, I will always try to make you smile and push you to do your best. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to seeing if I could be a good fit for your program.
