Personal Statement
The game of softball has been my passion ever since I was young. I began taking pitching lessons at 8 years old and have only built upon that work ethic since then. I currently play for the Adirondack USSSA Pride 14u team and go to Hudson Falls Central School. On top of my regular team activities, I see a personal trainer 2 nights a week as well as take hitting, and fielding lessons. Playing softball has taught me how to balance my academics while participating in a sport. I am currently in multiple advanced classes and have been able to be a straight A student. As I enter high school I will continue to do my very best because my grades are extremely important to me and I will always strive to do well in the classroom. I have a team first attitude and I always lead by example. I take pride in showing good character on and off the field. I always treat my coaches and opponents with respect and try to learn as much as I can from the people around me. As a player that always wants to improve, I am constantly setting personal goals for myself, trying new techniques and skills, and taking risks to better myself. As a tough competitor I always want to be the best on the field but will always be the first to cheer for someone else’s good play. I am really excited to start this search to find the best college fit for me both academically and athletically
