I believe that I am a good candidate for college softball teams as I consider myself to be a very hard worker in athletics and academics. I have chosen to balance three sports and a course load with all of the most rigorous courses that my school offers throughout all of my high school years. From this I have learned how to be disciplined, focused, and find balance in my activities, which are skills that I know will help me to find success in college. Physically speaking, I have put in work in the weight room and with running, and have reached pr’s such as back squatting 300 lbs that I believe have helped me become strong and versatile. I also believe that I am a strong candidate for a college team as I have been told that I am someone who is coachable. Going into my Freshman year of high school I did not really see myself playing college softball, but the progress that I have been able to make with help from my coaches from my Freshman year varsity season to now is extremely great and has completely transformed me as a player. I feel that if I were on a college team I would be able to take the coaching that I get and continue to make great progress. I am very open to feedback and critiquing and am always ready to make adjustments and try new things even when it’s uncomfortable in order to grow as an athlete. I have grown up with a love and passion for sports and competition, and they have shaped much of my identity, given me friends, and taught me skills that I will carry with me forever. I am very excited and eager to continue to have softball be a part of my life in college.
