Kaitlyn Walthour '18 Recruiting Profile

In the past 3 years, I have played for 2 softball teams at once. I am a great team player, but I can also be a great team leader. I don't play softball just to say I'm on a team, or just to have a cool uniform, I play because it's my heart. My first game on my high school team, I was injured, but that didn't stop me from going to practice everyday after that and playing in the next game. Out of my 3 year on my teams, I have missed a total of 3 practice, all due to doctors appointments. Adding to that, I have given up my spring break for the past 3 year and most of my summer for softball, but I don't regret any of this. When I go to college I want to do two things, major in Forensic Science and play softball. I want to become a Forensic Pathologist, finding and solving deaths. These 2 things keep me motivated to do and be the best I can be everyday in high school. To get an offer or even looked at let's me know that the things I work for can come true and these thoughts allow me to further push myself to be the best I can be.
