Personal Statement
I fell in love with softball at an early age and have been playing since I was 7. The sport always interested me and looked like fun. When I began playing though, it instantly taught me that I was stronger than I thought I was as a person and I was very competitive. When I began playing travel ball at 12, I learned the value of working with a team.
Last year was my freshman year in high school ball, where I started at 2nd and 3rd base, while also pitching some. We didn’t do as well as we had hoped, but it strengthened my commitment to improving. I also play three sports in high school, which has taught me to be a leader and good teammate. I believe that I have the talent to play collegiate softball and can also be an integral part of a team and it’s goals.
I am looking for a school that provides the opportunity to play ball along with my academic needs. I plan on going into the veterinary or medical field, and would like to attend a school that allows me that opportunity.
