Personal Statement

Team sports has defined the student athlete in me, and type of person I am. Throughout the years, I’ve learned the importance of teamwork and chemistry, leadership, work ethic, responsibility, and time management with my academics and sports preparation. A huge part of who I am and what has shaped me also comes from my family, friends, teammates, and coaches. I respect and love all of these people, and can’t imagine my life without them, and their inspirations to make me a better person through continuous improvement.

I am attending a strong academic private school at the Ursuline Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. After my time there I aspire to get a college education from an outstanding university that is a strong fit for me academically, athletically, and socially. I hope that in my future I am able to grow both academically, athletically, and as a whole; and be a person that inspires others daily.

I pitched 7 strong innings in our 1-0 bracket game loss to LLG Corn; LLG Corn went on to win the 2020 USA JO Cup. I also pitched 1 pool play game, giving up 1 ER in a Win vs a very strong Indy Fusion team.

2019 PGF Platinum National Championships 18u (I played up @ 18u this summer)
7/20/19 to 7/27/19
My Ohio Hawks 18u Gold team finished tied for 13th out of 92 teams at PGF Nationals Platinum. We were a mix of seniors and 16u eligible athletes. My ERA for the summer was under 2, playing against the best teams in the country. I also played a lot of LF, RF, and 2B; and I had a great summer at the plate, hitting for power and consistency against great pitching.

My Ohio Hawks 18u Gold team (I am playing up this year @ 18u due to team need) finished 5th out of 32 teams. I pitched in 5 of our 7 games; allowing 2 ER's in 15.1 IP; I also hit 3 balls over 220' in 12 at-bats; these hits were against quality well respected pitchers; overall my OBP was 0.583 for the 4 day tournament. I also played 2B when not pitching, with 0 errors (at 2nd or P) and made a diving catch on a ball hit behind me.

7/29/18 to 8/04/18
My Beverly Bandits Demarini 16u team finished tied for 17th out of 76 teams at PGF Nationals Premiere. We were a 1st year 16u team. My ERA for the summer was 2.28, playing against the best teams in the country. I also played 1B and corner OF; and I hit 3 HR's for the Bandits in my 1st year with the team, against great pitching.

My Ohio Hawks 14u Gold team finished tied for 9th out of 72 teams at PGF Nationals Premiere. I pitched, played corner IF and OF, and was one of our top hitters.

My Ohio Hawks 14u Gold team won this 16u showcase tournament (30 teams), going 8-0 against 16u teams. We only had 2 pitchers due to injuries, and I led our team in pitching; and was one of our top hitters.

We won this tournament as a 1st year 14u team beating Lasers White (this team later moved to the Beverly Bandits) 4-1; and earned to be Back to Back Tournament Champions!! I have a video of the championship game. This tournament win qualified us for USA ASA Nationals. I pitched the championship game, giving up 0 earned runs over 7 innings; winning 4-1.
