Personal Statement
Hi, I am Amanda DiMassa and I have been playing travel softball since I was 9 years old. Ever since my first tournament season, I began realizing I wanted to start playing more positions than outfield. I also realized that, with the help of my coach, I was a better hitter from the left side. With continuous hard and extra work I became a starting outfielder and second basemen. I have been working with my hitting instructor for the past 4 years to further improve my left handed hitting, bunting, and slapping skills. Currently, on my 18u tournament team, I am now a valuable and versatile player. I am dedicated to the sport and my team. Softball has taught me valuable lessons in communication, teamwork and individual accountability. These lessons I’ve learned will be a big part of my success with school and my future career. I look forward to finding a college where I can continue to compete and pursue studies that align with my interests. Thank you for your consideration and taking the time to read my bio.
