Personal Statement

My name is Addi Dillow, a 2021 graduation year athlete from Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove) High School in Coal Grove, Ohio.  My current GPA is 4.0. I have played softball since the age of 6 and have a passion to continue playing the game after high school.  My goal is to find a college that is the right match that will challenge me academically and athletically.   I will participate in 4 sports in high school playing volleyball, basketball, track and softball.  In my final year of middle school, I was recognized as the only 5 sport athlete in our school and I also received the Ohio High School Athletic Association Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award.   I love playing centerfield and outfield in general, but I am a versatile player at many positions, with many years of travel, league, and middle school experience.

  • Addi, First and foremost thanks for making the long haul up to OCU to visit and workout with us. It was great to be able to meet, talk and work with you. I must say you have a skill set that will go a long way with your softball career if you choose to continue to work hard and put the time into getting better each day. Your outfield report back to me was very good probably top 3 overall today of 23 girls. Within your workout your passion for the game showed through your work ethic and you posses a lot of traits of a great softball player. I really hope to have the opportunity to work with you again. At some point when you have free time you are welcome to come back up and workout with the team as that is allowed with NAIA and you can see what you think! Thanks again for coming up and looking forward to hearing back from you! Thanks, David Polly Ohio Christian University Head Softball Coach

  • My team, the West Virginia Dusters won the World Series Championship Game. The big moment for me was in the semi final game. We were in the top of the 5th inning, 1-2 count with 2 outs, base runners on first and second with game tied at 1-1. I doubled down the left field line and both runners scored, helping my team advance to the championship game where we won in an international tie breaker 4-1. I had a nice weekend at the plate, batting .529 in 7 games played. 9 of 16 for the Series.
