jerry bower '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a player that loves the game of softball whether I am watching or playing. I love to practice, and learn about mechanics and the ins and outs of the game. I love to work on hitting especially.  I pitch for my school team, and I play second base and all outfield positions for my travel team. I am very dedicated to my becoming a better player.  Some of my achievements that I am proud of are I started varsity as a freshman at Grandview and became the starting pitcher.  I also received the leadership award that year. Last year as a sophomore, and this past summer in 16U travel I struck out only twice on both teams. I am a player that believes strikeouts are the worst part of the game, and lead to a very unproductive out. I work a lot to make sure I have as little as possible.  I also batted .500 at USSSA Eastern Nationals. I love the game and am commited to getting myself to play at the next level.
