Jayda McClure '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Jayda McClure and I am in the graduating class of 2026. I am aspired to play college softball because I want to further my softball journey. Growing up I have always had so much love for this sport and it is something that I could never imagine myself not doing. I hope to be the player that betters their team and not just myself. 

Although I love getting to always be on the softball field, my academics are more important and come first. I have not always strived in the classroom or been the smartest one, but the work that I put into academics outside of school is what makes me a good and intelligent student. 

I’ve been playing softball for 10 years now, starting from T-Ball, to now playing for my high school varsity team and a level B travel team. I have dreamt of playing on a college team since I was 12 and ever since then it has been the biggest goal that I have been focusing on. I am very determined to reach that goal and I am willing to go as far as I need, to get there. 

I am a two-year varsity starter that has seen the field from almost every position there is. But my true passion is at third base. I see myself thriving there more than any other position. I believe I have great capabilities that are going to lead me to be incredible. 

I am so excited to start this recruiting journey and I am just so grateful for everyone that has helped me get to where I am today. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
