After my high school career, I plan to continue playing the same game I've been playing ever since I was 5. Even though big opportunities are exciting, my real dream is to just continue doing what I love. What separates me from the rest of the candidates is my personality, my dedication, and how disciplined I am. I think of myself to be the teammate who is friends with everyone. Especially being an upperclassman, many freshmen who start coming to practices are nervous, so I make it a priority to try comforting them like no one did for me as a freshman. I am so dedicated to this amazing sport that there really is no off season for me; it's softball all year round and pretty much every week. And self-discipline is my form of motivation. Sure, most players of any sport are hard on themselves but that only proves how much they care. When an athlete can admit every mistake, even the little ones; it is quite evident how much blood, sweat, and tears they put into their sport. With this being said, after every game, scrimmage, or even practice; I take the time to go over the good things and the not so good things. I think about the things I need to work on and focus specifically on those things until I get better. No one is perfect and softball is known as a failing sport. But, I push myself to continue growing and to keep climbing that ladder toward perfection. And that's what makes me a great candidate.
