Thank you for taking a look at my profile. Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am the oldest of 4 kids. My mom is a teacher and my dad is a firefighter. Being the oldest child, I find myself to have good leadership capabilities, this has carried over to my life outside my family too. Currently, I am a Junior at Fairfield Senior High School in Fairfield Ohio. Throughout my high school career I have participated in service organizations National Honor Society and ChicFaLa Leadership academy. In addition, I also played volleyball for 2 years and I am looking forward to my third year on the softball team. I also am a 4-H member where I have mainly participated in Public Speaking and cooking projects. Through 4-H I have also been given the opportunity to be a 4-H Health Hero in which I have been able to share my love of fitness and good nutrition with other kids my age and younger. In the Summer I play for the Cincinnati Reds RBI team. Not only am I able to play the game I love, but I also am able to serve others through the many service opportunities the league offers to the Cincinnati Urban communities. I also am able to attend Seminars that allow me to grow as an individual. In the area of academics, I have carried a 3.99 throughout my high school career and striving for the 4.0.
My love of softball came at an early age, I was 5 years old when my mom had me out in the yard with a glove and ball. From the start, I was hooked on a game that I absolutely love. I became a catcher because my coach (my mom) said we don't have anyone else and she knew I could catch the ball & get it to second in the 10U league. I remember the first time I made the throw to 3rd base and the runner was called out, I was hooked! As I continued to play through the years, I fell in love with catching more and more! I like the fact that I can be a leader on the field, I am involved in each play but most importantly I cherish the relationships I have with teammates and coaches.
