Erin Breece '17 Recruiting Profile

    My main focus throughout the recruiting process is to find the right school that will challenge me in the classroom and on the field. I work hard to achieve my good grades and hope to continue my studies in college. I also hope to continue playing the sport that I love at the collegiate level.

    I lead by example on and off the field. I am a class officer and I am in charge of planning many different events. I also realize that other players look to me for leadership, so I must be a good role model. I always try to keep a positive attitude and encourage my teammates. I get along well with basically everyone that I meet.

    I am very coachable and hard working. I have been my team's lead-off hitter for two years, because of my speed and ability to get on base from either a hit or a walk. I am constantly listening and making changes based on my coaches' ideas. I work hard to correct mistakes that I make. Many days I will stay after practice for hours just hitting off a tee to make my hitting better. Over the summer, I taught myself how to slap hit with limited help from my coach, because he thought that it would help our team. Now I can hit on the right side and slap hit from the left. My main position is outfield, but I have the knowledge and experience to play every position. I have worked very hard to make myself a more versatile player.
