I am getting ready to start my junior year in high school, and I am very active at my school. I am a two-sport athlete, playing softball and basketball. I have participated in marching band for the past 3 years and was selected to serve as field commander this coming year. I am also very active in my church and church youth group, as well as in 4-H and at our county fair.
I have just begun my club softball season, where I play second base when I am not pitching. As a pitcher, I can throw a fast ball, change-up, curve ball, and drop ball. My coaches describe me as a very competitive player and say that I show leadership on the field.
At school, I make mostly A's, and I have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 so far in high school. I take my school work very seriously, and am able to balance a very busy academic and athletic schedule. I hope to continue to improve throughout high school and get the opportunity to play softball in college. To get ready for possibly playing softball in college, I will begin post secondary classes next year as a junior to earn college credits before I graduate high school.
