Ever since I started playing at 9 years old, softball has been increasingly more important to me and a major part of my life. Throughout my high school years I have invested in several community service events, but my favorite opportunity has been helping coach younger girls. For the last three years I have been helping coach little league and 10u teams around the Beaverton area to help other girls experience and learn to love the sport of softball, as I did. I absolutely love watching young girls become as passionate about the game as I am and help teach them skills that I have been taught.
Getting good grades throughout school has always been a priority of mine and it reflects who I want to become. My goal is to become an athletic trainer because I love working out and helping others through their injuries. I would also like to minor in American Sign Language to additionally become an ASL interpreter because I enjoy signing and learning about Deaf culture. Therefore I am looking for a school that could possibly give me both of these.
As a person, I would describe myself as kind, driven, and joyful. One of my favorite quotes is, “I never lose, either I win… or I learn”- Anonymous. I consider this quote as motivation, because even if I lose a game I can still learn something and improve from my past mistakes. I believe that I am not only a strong academic candidate but also a coachable, team player that will add more quality to your school and team.
