Kellie Schroffner '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kellie Schroffner and I am currently a junior at Marist Catholic High School (Eugene, OR).  I have been very active in many sports -- soccer, volleyball, dance/ballet, and softball -- throughout the years, however, my passion is playing softball.  Since I was introduced to the sport at age 9, softball has been a big influence in my life, and it would be my dream to play at the collegiate level.  Softball has taught me a lot in terms of challenging myself in having great work ethic and self-discipline, performing under pressure, developing as a vocal leader, and striving to be the best player, teammate, student-athlete, and person that I can be on and off the field.

What makes me a good candidate for your collegiate softball program?

As a player, I will bring athleticism, speed, and a gritty determination on defense, in the batter's box, and around the base paths.  As a student-athlete, I will strive for academic excellence in the classroom.   As a person, I will strive toward embodying good character traits in terms of what is means to be a good teammate, to be coachable, to have humility yet be vocal when needed, and to develop as a leader who can also listen.
