My name is Trista Hershey. I have been playing softball for 8 years which has given me many opportunities to play every position on the field. I am a team player and I will play anywhere that I'm needed. My primary positions include shortstop, catcher, third base, and second base, as well as coming in as a relief pitcher. I am a highly motivated student athlete who not only wants to be successful on the field but in the classroom as well. I am a hard worker who is dedicated to always trying to improve my skills and the skills of my teammates.
For my academics, I currently have a 4.3 GPA and earned Distinguished Honor Roll. I am part of Envirothon at my high school and was just awarded a medal for highest score in aquatics. I volunteer with Operation Rescue to help find homes for animals in need. I am currently part of Aevidum Club which focuses on students mental health and suicide prevention. My goal is to become a Zookeeper and travel the world rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing animals back in to the wild. I have traveled around the country and attended many Junior Zookeeper programs that have taught me many important things about responsibility, dedication and hard work that has to be put into anything that you want to do in life.
I'm looking for a college who not only wants successful athletes but wants their athletes to be successful off the field after their softball career has ended.
